ICMA Innovation Award

The second Classified Media Innovation Award will be organized by ICMA. The winner will be selected from the proposals received. All classified media companies are allowed to participate, whether ICMA members or not.

The 2011 Award will be announced at the ICMA Conference Awards Ceremony on Friday 29 April, in Nice, France. The winners will be decided by the ICMA Committee and the Top 5 shortlisted companies may be invited to present their innovation in the conference. Introduction to HTTP

The HTTP protocol first appeared in yearly 90’s as a solution for document management in CERN, a huge European research center. They needed to maintain and manage a large number of scientific documents, each having many links to other documents (think of Wikipedia).

HTTP is a protocol used by hundreds of millions of people every day for all sorts of activities: getting news, posting news, sharing photos, socializing, educating themselves, educating others, reading, and sending mail, and relaxing.
